learn from mistakes

Sometimes the best way to do something better is to learn from they way in which you did it last. Life is often unexpected, and we need to be ready to deal with the consequences in a way in which that is still productive. At Maze, we understand life can be unpredictable. Here's a few simple strategy’s to keep in mind during your working week...be productive and get results you deserve.

Always have a “Plan B.”

Nothing is forever. Have an alternate strategy, a longer- term plan...something to fall back on. The key in business, is to always be prepared.

Demonstrate self-confidence.

Remember how hard it was to get to the position you are now. Success only comes with hard work and perseverance. So make it known. Believe in yourself and they results will follow.

Know the unwritten rules.

Intuition will often lead you to where you need to be. Know your code of conduct, and know what you are trying to portray. Always bear it in mind.

When the phone rings, answer it.

You never know what opportunity lies on the other end of a phone. You will never know if the phone goes unanswered. And, sometimes new and exciting opportunities don’t leave a voice mail message.

Have a mentor.

Everyone should have a person they can bounce ideas off, who will give them the unfiltered truth and open a door when necessary. If you don’t have that person, find them.

Know who “supports you.”

Build strategic alliances with people who will support you. When times get tough, you need to know who will stick it out with you.  Know the people who will support you no matter what … and support them back.
